Have you ever?

Have you ever been so tired and worn out that you could not wait to lay your head down to take rest? I am at the state right now. Lack of sleep throughout the nite and forced to come in to work today due to unforseen circumstances has caused me to be in very irritable state. Anything and everything seems to be wrong rite now. I crave for my bed and pillow so that I can rest my mind and body.

Thinking Out Loud

Have you all ever wondered, is it absolutely alright to think out aloud? Yes the lady at work has very bad BO, yes the guy who sits behind your cube can't stop farting, but is it proper to voice it out aloud what has been running through your head? (Stop farting you freaking *******). :-(

How much of honesty is considered as too much of honesty? There are certain things that cannot be said out loud due to circumstances and also so that no embaressment will be caused for the affected party. But there are things that can be said out aloud, provided there's subtlelity in it.

How subtle you may ask? Well, that depends on the sensitive meter of course.

Some people generally have very thick skin (kulit kerbau), so for these kind of people, its easy to voice out our discomfort or dislike. Then there are people whom are open to critics, but up to one extent only, and for these people average level of subtleness is required. Finally there's the third range of people who are SO SENSITIVE that if you actually give them a compliment, they will take it as an insult, :P. For these kind of people, maximum subtleness has to be turned on in order for us not to declare war with immediate effect. hehe.

How about confronting your loved ones? Some of their quirky behaviour might be driving you crazy, but how do you tell them without hurting them? You hate the way your husband hums out of tune, but how do you tell him that it drives you crazy? He will get offended cause you do not appreciate his "talent" (so he thinks) !!! :-)

And why did I choose to talk about this? Well, I realized that I am always stuck in this kind of situations and I do not how to overcome it most of the time. However, I'm sure there are many people out there who share my concern. For those who are blessed with a laser tongue, whipping out words is as simple as ABC simply beacuse they don't give a damn about people's feelings and thoughts. I on the other hand, care too much not to hurt anyone with my words intentionally. (unintentionally is another matter all together...hehe).

So, how do I plan to handle the guy who can't stop farting? Well, i'm planning to get a sign like this below to post at a place where its visible for him to see!! :-)

Cheers and have a nice day folks!

A woman's place is in the kitchen??

Came upon an intresting topic while chatting with some of my friends. A friend of mine was telling us on how her future mother-in-law kept on stressing that a woman should know how to cook and no matter how successful she is, her place is eventually in the kitchen. Poor gal was stuck and had to pretend that she was intrested in learning!

Of course I beg to differ!

A career woman myself, cooking is just secondary compared to everything else in my life. I do agree the fact that a woman should know how to cook, but at this era now, this particular question keeps running in my head. Why is it that ONLY women must learn how to cook? How about men? I believe they get hungry as well. No offense to all the guys out there, some of the guys friends that I have can cook even better than their spouses/partners. But the question is, why do we set a rule saying that only the women should learn how to cook?

I believe this links back to the practice hundreds and hundreds years ago where men hunt for food (since they are "supposed" to be stronger than women) and women cook the food.

But, we no longer hunt for food now, nor are women staying at home idling. Women also have their own career and life besides cooking! And we DO NOT need men to bring us back the food to cook!!

So there were we arguing with the guys how we should actually share the workload between and men and women and not just dump everything to the women. And I mean it seriously, why not share the workload?? Guys do get hungry rite? So why not cook the food as well??
My mother DID NOT know how to cook and learnt form my father after they got married. She has this recipe book where she used to write down recipes even for the most simplest dishes! I found it cute the fact that my dad taught my mum to cook. :P. Personally I would love it if my other half in future, helps me out in the kitchen. Not that I do not know how to cook, but it makes cooking a less burden chore. Not to mention extra quality time spent together. *wink*

So, for the gals out there who share my opinion, do not hesitate to ask you guys to help you along when you are cooking. Even better if the guys are willing to take turns with their partners to cook. Impossible as it may seem, its workable if there's interest! :-)

Cheers and have a nice day folks!

The Begining!

Ola everyone. Ok, so this is my 1st post in my 1st blog. Tried once with friendster and failed major. :P. Amidst all the hype about blogs and bloggers, the reason for me to start this blog is NOT to earn money or comment about the current ''drama" in malysian politics (I have enough drama happening in my life) or to take a pick at other bloggers. I just love to write and lately so many things are happening to and around me which I feel is worth to share with whoever who's willing to spend some time to read my ravings. :-) And I also feel that by doing this I can forgive AND forget the bad things in my life. Comments are welcomed, but obviously not for this post. There's barely any content in this!!! :P Just an introduction to my many posts to come. :-).
Cheers and have a nice day folks!
